Learn how to use the Prepaid Connection Manager. This manager is used with the Jet Prepaid.

 

Connect to T-Mobile Mobile Internet

To connect to T-Mobile Mobile Internet, use the following steps:

  1. Make sure your SIM card is in your laptop stick.
  2. Insert your laptop stick in the USB port of your computer.
  3. Open the Connection Manager.
  4. Make sure that T-Mobile Broadband is displayed on the Profile Name field.
  5. Select Connect.

 

Install the Prepaid Connection Manager for Microsoft Windows

To install the Prepaid Connection Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the Jet data stick.
  2. When prompted, select AutoRun.exe. (Administrative rights are needed to install the Prepaid Connection Manager).
  3. Select Next. > NextNext. > Next. The software will install. 
  4. Select Finish. The icon will appear on the desktop. 

 

Install the Prepaid Connection Manager for Mac OS X

To install the Prepaid Connection Manager, follow these steps:

  1. Insert your laptop stick into the USB port of your computer. The installation wizard opens.
  2. Follow the instructions on the installation wizard to install.

 

Uninstall the Connection Manager for Mac OS X

To uninstall the Prepaid Connect Manager on Mac OS X, drag the Prepaid Connection Manager icon to the Recycle Bin in the dock.

 

Uninstall the Connection Manager for Microsoft Windows XP

To uninstall the Prepaid Connect Manager for Windows XP, follow these steps:

  1. Select Start. > Settings. > Control Panel.
  2. Select Add or Remove Programs. It may take a minute for Windows to load the list of installed applications.
  3. Scroll down and select Prepaid Connection Manager.
  4. Select Remove.

 

Uninstall the Connection Manager for Microsoft Windows Vista & 7

To uninstall the Prepaid Connect Manager for Vista & 7, follow these steps:

  1. Select Start. > Control Panel.
  2. Select Uninstall a Program (under Programs). It may take a minute for Windows to load the list of installed applications.
  3. Right select Prepaid Connection Manager and select Uninstall.

 

Enable SIM PIN code

To enable SIM PIN, follow these steps:

  1. From the main Connection Manager screen, select Tools.
  2. Select PIN Operations > Enable PIN Verification.
  3. Enter the current PIN (default is 1234).
  4. Select OK.

 

Change SIM PIN code

To change SIM PIN code, follow these steps:

  1. From the main Connection Manager screen, select Tools.
  2. Select PIN Operations. > Modify PIN.
  3. Enter the current PIN (default is 1234).
  4. Enter the new PIN.
  5. Re-enter to confirm.
  6. Select OK.

 

Disable SIM PIN code

To disable SIM PIN, follow these steps:

  1. From the main Connection Manager screen, select Tools.
  2. Select PIN Operations > Disable PIN Verification.
  3. Enter the current PIN (default is 1234).
  4. Select OK.

 

Unblock PIN (PUK code)

In the event the data stick becomes locked, you can re-enable the PIN function by entering a Personal Unblocking Key (PUK). If the PIN is locked, the user will see the following dialog box where they will have the opportunity to reset the PIN by entering a combination of the PUK and the new PIN. To unblock, enter the PUK and new PIN code, then select OK.

 

View mobile number

To check the phone number, use the following steps:

  1. Make sure your SIM card is in your laptop stick and insert your laptop stick into the USB port of your computer.
  2. Open the Connection Manager.
  3. Select Tools Diagnostics.
  4. Choose the SIM tab.
  5. The mobile number will be displayed next to Own number (MSISDN).

View Signal

The signal can be viewed from the connection manager main screen in the lower left corner.
