Add Amazon Prime
Before getting started
- Existing discounted Prime memberships are not eligible to be billed through T-Mobile.
- T-Mobile Prepaid, Metro by T-Mobile plans, Mobile Internet only accounts (tablets, laptops, hotspots, watches, etc.) and Business accounts and Government accounts are not eligible.
Limit of one Amazon Prime membership per T-Mobile account.
How to add: New Amazon Prime membership
- Log into My T-Mobile or T-Life.
- Access your plans, features, and add-ons.
- Select Amazon Prime.
- Follow the prompts to activate your Amazon Prime membership.
Amazon Prime can also be added by contacting our Care team or visiting one of our T-Mobile retail stores.
How to add: Existing Amazon Prime membership
Follow these steps if you’re looking to change your payment method for your Prime membership to T-Mobile.
- Go to My T-Mobile and add the Amazon Prime membership.
- Follow the prompts until you arrive on Amazon's landing page.
- Make sure you log in with your existing credentials instead of creating a new account.
This allows you to migrate your existing membership to your T-Mobile bill and any balance you have already paid for will be available with Amazon will be available if/when you cancel your T-Mobile paid Prime membership.
Amazon Prime billing
Once you add Amazon Prime to your account, your membership is managed through T-Mobile.
- T-Mobile acts as the method of payment for your membership each month.
- If you remove the feature from your account, T-Mobile will immediately stop being your method of payment and you will lose access to your membership services.
T-Mobile account suspended for non-payment
- If your T-Mobile account is suspended for more than 72 hours, your Prime benefits will be cancelled.
- Once you have paid your balance due, you will need to go through the sign up experience again to reactivate your T-Mobile billed Prime membership.
- If you migrated your membership over from Amazon and have a balance you have already paid for, your old Amazon membership will resume automatically for the remainder of the time left.
