Expiration date bug for Legacy Pay As You Go?
I’ve had a back-up T-Mobile Legacy Pay As You Go with Gold Rewards account for more than a decade. Early this year, in 3rd week of January 2021, I refilled another $10. After refilling, I saw the expiration date extended to 2022 for the same date in 3rd week of January as expected. It looks like T-Mobile had a system/software change during the past year as the UI looks different, e.g., no longer shows how many minutes/SMSes the balance would cover. Whether or not due to that system/software change/migration, I am guessing there’s a bug somewhere as my expiration date got shortened by 2 weeks. From Transaction and Activity history, it looks like that happened either mid-August or early October 2021. Anybody else noticed the same expiration date being shortened? Was there a system change/upgrade that T-Mobile did during 2021 that you’re aware of? How do I contact T-Mobile Chat Support to get this fixed? A few days ago, I saw a way to do so through lower-right corner but don’t see it today. I’m also curious how many Legacy Pay As You Go users are still around? Thanks for any reply and help in advance and Happy Holidays!OTW9 hours agoNetwork Novice8.7KViews0likes57CommentsHow to escalate a complaint
I received a text from T-mobile. They said I could buy 2 I phones get $700 off one, and receive a free line. I called T-mobile, they checked my account and said yes you definitely qualify. I then went into a chat session and asked again and they again said yes I qualify(I have the print out) So I went into the Store, I again, in front of 2 other live witnesses , asked them to check and see that this promotion was available to my plan before purchasing the 2 I phones. Again, they called spoke to another manager and yes they said all was good. So we purchased the I phones, received the new sim card for the new line and everything was fine. Until I got my bill, T-mobile was charging me $10 for the new line plus the other fees( fees which I already knew I would have to pay. I am not opposing those fees. ) So I chatted with T-Mobile, the rep agreed (I have it from the chat printout) I should not be charged, he took the fee off and said that all was good. Low and behold next month the $10 charge was again on my bill. I again called up another rep Christopher. He said yes I see the problem. He again removed the $10 charge and said that it was taken care of……Nope, next month the same thing I talked to another girl Crystal, she again agreed that I had did everything correct and there was just a delay in the billing. She took the $10 fee off and she begged me and I mean begged me to say that the problem was solved. I refused and told her until I see that the charge is not on my monthly statement I would not say the problem was resolved. She reluctantly said ok. Guess what the next month the $10 charge was their again!!!!! So I went into the T-Mobile store and at first they said they would take care of it then they started saying no this was only for some other promotion???? What??? I confirmed several times, printed from chats and if I wasn’t eligible why would they all have said I was and agreed to take off the charges??? So the manager at the store, Said he agreed and would look into it. I sent him all the chats, the copy of the texts, everything. This guy tells me later that the girl that he was working with to get it resolved was let go and there was nothing he could do??? WHAT? Was there only one individual in the company that could take care of this???? To me this is clearly a bait and switch scheme that T-Mobile is trying to pull off. Much like their “oh if we merge with Sprint we will create jobs” but now we know that T-Mobile is laying off 5000 employees. So I need to know how to escalate this and if anyone else out there experienced something similar so I can present it to the attorney general and the fcc.SolvedBaitandswitch13 hours agoNewbie Caller13KViews7likes34Comments- Massimo19 hours agoNetwork Novice47Views0likes2Comments
Add a line promotion
I recently added my mother-in-law to my family’s plan and she got a “free phone” with her new line. I’ve now tried disconnecting a different line (not in an attempt to find a loophole or anything, just because I don’t want to keep paying for a phone line for my brother’s ex-girlfriend) that doesn’t have a promotion on it and I was told that I would lose the promotion on my mother-in-law’s line if I disconnect another line. I’m not even seeing the promotion details on my account (it’s not listed as a device promo or a service promo) so I can’t find the “fine print.” The only details I can find are these: “Promo Code: P617 Start Date: December 7, 2023 Credit: up to or $29.17/mo. for 24 months Contact us before cancelling account to continue remaining bill credits, or credits stop & balance on required finance agreement is due (e.g., $999.99 – Google Pixel 8 Pro 128GB). Tax on pre-credit price due at sale. Limited-time offer; subject to change. Qualifying credit and service required. Available online only. If you have cancelled lines in past 90 days, you may need to reactivate them first. $35 device connection charge due at sale. Up to $700 via bill credits; must be active and in good standing to receive credits; allow 2 bill cycles. Max 4 discounted devices/account. May not be combinable with some offers or discounts. Get $700 off Google Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 7, or 7 Pro via 24 monthly bill credits when you purchase on a monthly payment plan and activate a new voice line on an eligible Go5G, Magenta, or ONE plan.” Does anybody have the promotion agreement on this so I can actually review it?vfine8920 hours agoNetwork Novice4.3KViews0likes8CommentsRegistered Inseego FX2000
I have an Inseego FX2000 that I'm trying to decommission for a customer so they can repurpose it. I'm not sure what the process is to unregister the device from T-Mobile so the next person who uses doesn't have any issues. I'm not sure if there is anything they have to do or not with T-Mobile? I tried to register it through Inseego and the error I received was "Unable to register, please contact Inseego Customer Care team." When I contacted Inseego they said I needed to contact T-Mobile. What needs to be done so the next person who uses doesn't run into any issues.sm2 days agoNetwork Novice15Views0likes0CommentsT-Mobile Philippines Cust Service lie put the order wrong and then contacted me for money on my #

I switched from Cricket to T-Mobile on December 27 at the Walmart phone center. The Walmart sales representative falsely assured us that we would receive a free phone, but while entering our information into the system, she informed us that we would actually have to pay for the phones. By that point, we had already transferred two lines to T-Mobile, but upon realizing the misinformation, we immediately stopped and did not transfer the other two numbers. On the same day, we returned the phone and SIM card and canceled the service with T-Mobile. The T-Mobile representative assured us that there would be no charges. However, due to waiting for Cricket to mail our SIM card, our number was not ported back to Cricket until December 30. Today, I received a bill from T-Mobile for $110, despite only using the phone on December 27 to contact T-Mobile customer service. I had the phone and SIM card for only six hours. When I reached out to T-Mobile via online chat, they claimed I kept the phone numbers for three days.(I returned the phone and the simcard at walmart at the same day) Who should I contact to resolve this billing issue?bena19742 days agoNetwork Novice27Views0likes0Comments
