Price increase Magenta 55+ rate was guaranteed
What?! I've been happy with T-Mobile for a few years now, and thought I was with an ethically operated company. I've had no reason to complain. However just today I received a text that in 2 weeks they are increasing my price. But when I signed up I was promised a guaranteed rate of $70 per month for 2 unlimited lines on Magenta for 55+. Now T-Mobile wants $10/month more than the guaranteed rate. Sorry, the price increase and therefore the change in terms is not acceptable. This isn't a great way to treat loyal customers.friendofonyx2 hours agoVisitor57Views0likes1CommentDeceptive practices
Like many other people who have posted here, I thought I had a price guarantee from T-Mobile. Turns out that there may have been some fine print. Apparently if you hit the link for their FAQs it said if they ever do raise your price and you decide to leave within 60 days, they’ll pay your last line charges (bye bye, have a good life). I also called and was told this was because of inflation. Well, T-Mobile has actually made some changes to my plan over the last couple of years to help offset any increase expenses. For example, I had to have them take my payment directly from my bank account instead of charging my credit card in order to keep the five dollar discount. And then the first time that Netflix increased their prices I had to give up my ad free Netflix and go to their lowest plan which included ads in order not to increase my cost. So in reality we’ve already experienced price increases from T-Mobile on this no increase plan. And then T-Mobile had the audacity to send me a text a couple of months ago when Netflix raised their price again telling me that they “had my back” and would not increase my price at that time. To add insult to injury last year the CEO made $37 million. This is up from $22 million I believe the year before. So this guy is squeezing us for five dollars more a month to help maintain his bloated compensation. Definitely not the reputable company I thought they were.CLP2 hours agoVisitor11Views0likes0CommentsSorry, we won't help you...
Moved to France, closed my Tmobile account, kept the inactive and paid-for phone. Called them to unlock my phone, gave them my six-digit password, they told me they can't unlock it because they can only send the verification code to an active Tmobile phone number. They suggested I go to a Tmobile store: France doesn't have any Tmobile stores. Don't they know that? So I've got to buy a new phone. Even though under the terms of the contract I have the right to have my old phone unlocked when I leave Tmobile.TMOBILE_SUCKS2 hours agoVisitor12Views0likes0CommentsFight Rate Increases ACROSS THE BOARD
They are doing this across the board; and, unfairly, I might add. After I called them out, they took DOWN their page on Price Locks: https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/price-lock-faqs It was up before 3:30pm EST today 3/13/2025. They are about to rewrite the page, WATCH! Those of you looking for the page, here it is from 2/12/2025: https://web.archive.org/web/20250114233014/https://www.t-mobile.com/cell-phone-plans/price-lock-faqs I opted out of Arbitration; and, they'll be hearing from the FCC and my attorney. We all had this problem a year ago; and, there was already a Class Action along with an FCC complaint they toddler'd away with like a little girl in a dress by citing Terms: https://www.t-mobile.com/community/discussions/bill-charges/price-lock/119804 TOUGH CRAP FOR THEM THE LETTER TO FCC IS EVIDENCE THAT SHOWS THE TERMS YOU CAN USE TO STOP THEM FROM RAISING YOU RATES, IF YOU ARE IN CERTAIN DATES: https://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/06/T-Mobile-response.pdf To get your Terms and Conditions by date to fight this: https://www.t-mobile.com/responsibility/legal/terms-and-conditions-aug-2018 Here is the FCC Complaint Link: LFG! https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us Here is the detail so they CANNOT HIDE when they try to change your plan. THANK ME LATER, I am happy to deal them any damage for the $60 a year they are costing me.youareceo3 hours agoVisitor50Views0likes1CommentNo monthly discount for loyal customers?
I asked for a monthly discount from a Tmobile customer service rep today and just to find out that they do not have any. He just advised me to go to this community blog with the hope that a Tmobile concerned personnel will pay attention to this concern. My husband and I have been with Tmobile for well over a decade now, going on our 14/15th year. For some reason, even though we are not happy with the reception/connection service that they have, we have been with them for this long... i guess that is what you call LOYAL customers, don’t you think? That is, you stick with them thru thick ‘n thin. Being so, i was expecting to get a loyalty discount off of their monthly bill to make their loyal customers happy and stay longer. It would be nice to see a line on their Tmobile monthly bill/statement that says, “Loyalty Credit”. When should we see this?Solvedmagenta82666194 hours agoNetwork Novice4.5KViews0likes18CommentsPaperless Billing, Mailed Receipt
After two years of trying to be able to log into my account online, I was finally able to get someone to fix it. I kept getting paper bills and paying by check (it was the principle of the thing - I'm not setting up auto pay without the ability to log in and see/change it). So once I could access my account, I signed up for paperless billing and auto pay so I could get the $5 discount. Now they physically MAIL me a receipt every month. A piece of paper that says Thanks for your payment. I can't find anywhere to stop this and I'm not calling to wait on the phone for an hour to save them the money. I'll just continue to toss them, but it seems so stupid.ScrltOTara5 hours agoNetwork Novice3Views0likes0CommentsHow to change SSID and PW?
I just received the T-Mobil 5G Gateway G4AR-1 and Access Point as part of the Home Network Plus package and am getting phenominal speeds (750 down, 125 up). On the back of the router there is an IP address and admin and admin password. However when you put the IP address in it comes up to absolutely garbage stuff with no access to any settings. It tells you to download the “T-Life” app, which also gives you no access to settings. I guess my question is, can the SSID and/or factory password be changed somehow?recppd5 hours agoNewbie Caller722Views1like4CommentsGuaranted price lock?
Part of the reason I went to T-MOBILE was because of their Guarantee that there would be no increases. Now they are increasing the price because things cost more. I understand that, but that is exactly the reason I went on this plan. To avoid a price increase... Now I have to shop around for a new plan. So dumb.Bronco6512 hours agoVisitor133Views4likes6CommentsIncrease in Price for 55+ ($50/mo for 1 line)
Got a text message stating $5 increase/mo. Called rep. Was told “due to inflation...” I asked why because when I was told when I signed up in 10/2018 it was for life. “Sorry about that. See our terms and conditions on the website.” I said I wanted the terms and conditions from 2018. I asked for a copy of my contract that I signed. “We don’t have access to that.” (What??) I have filed a complaint with the FCC also. This is infuriating.Harobed14 hours agoNewbie Caller4.7KViews13likes23Comments
