Digits Issues

This app will be the death of my business. I have been desperately working on getting my phone calls to come through AND receive voicemails. I’m not sure how long this issue has been going on for but i haven’t gotten a voicemail in well over 2 or 3 months and I know I’ve missed calls/voicemails because clients have told me.
IT does not help. All updates to software on the app and phone are done also.

It sounds incredibly frustrating to deal with ongoing issues like this, especially when it directly affects your business. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the problem:

    1. Contact T-Mobile Support Directly: Since you've already mentioned that IT support hasn't been helpful, it might be worth reaching out to T-Mobile's customer support directly. Sometimes, escalating the issue or speaking to a different representative can lead to better assistance.

    2. Check App Permissions and Settings: Ensure that the T-Mobile app has all the necessary permissions enabled on your phone. Sometimes, updates or changes to your phone's operating system can reset app permissions.

    3. Update or Reinstall the App: Even if your phone's software is up to date, sometimes apps themselves can have bugs or issues. Try updating the T-Mobile app to the latest version available in your app store. If that doesn't work, consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

    4. Check Network and Signal Strength: Poor network coverage or signal strength can sometimes cause issues with voicemail and call notifications. Make sure you're in an area with good reception, or try using Wi-Fi calling if available.

    5. Review Call Forwarding Settings: Ensure that call forwarding settings are correctly configured. Sometimes, if calls are being forwarded incorrectly or not at all, it can lead to missed calls and voicemails not being delivered.

    6. Alternative Voicemail Solutions: While you're troubleshooting the issue with T-Mobile, consider using an alternative voicemail service temporarily to ensure you're not missing important messages from clients.

    7. Document and Communicate: Keep a record of all communications with T-Mobile support, including dates, times, and the outcome of each interaction. If the issue persists, this documentation can be useful if you need to escalate the problem further.

    Thank You.

    Hello,

I understand your frustration with Digits not working properly and potentially impacting your business. Here are some consolidated steps to troubleshoot the issue and potentially recover missed calls and voicemails:

Verify Digits App and Phone Settings:

Digits App Permissions: Ensure Digits has the necessary permissions to make calls, access contacts, and manage voicemail. Go to your phone's Settings > Apps & notifications (or equivalent) and find Digits. Check and enable all required permissions.

Call Forwarding: Double-check that call forwarding is not enabled on your phone or through your carrier. Call forwarding can divert calls to another number, which might explain why you haven't received them. You can usually disable call forwarding through your phone's settings or by contacting your carrier.

    Digits App Troubleshooting:

Force Quit and Relaunch: Sometimes, a simple app refresh can resolve glitches. Close the Digits app completely (swipe it up in the app switcher on most phones) and then reopen it.

Reinstall the Digits App: If force quitting doesn't work, consider reinstalling the Digits app. This can sometimes fix problems caused by corrupted app data. However, uninstalling might delete any existing call history or voicemails stored within the app.

    Contact T-Mobile Support:

Dedicated Digits Support: T-Mobile might have a dedicated support team for Digits. Search online for "T-Mobile Digits Support" or contact their general customer support and ask to be transferred to the Digits specialists. They might have specific troubleshooting steps for Digits issues.

Advanced Account Troubleshooting: If the basic steps don't work, T-Mobile support might need to investigate your account further. Explain the impact on your business and ask for advanced troubleshooting.

    Temporary Workaround (Consider with Caution):

Disable Digits for Calls: As a temporary solution (use with caution), you might consider disabling Digits for calls and using your phone's native calling app. This will route calls directly through your phone number, ensuring you don't miss them. However, you might miss some Digits features, such as voicemail transcriptions.

    Missed Calls and Voicemails:

Check Online Portal: T-Mobile might offer an online portal or web interface for managing your Digits account. Check if there's a way to access missed calls or voicemails saved online.

Contact Clients: If possible, reach out to clients who left messages and explain the technical difficulties you've been experiencing. They might be able to resend messages or provide additional details.

By following these steps and potentially contacting T-Mobile support, you should be able to resolve the Digits app issue and prevent further missed calls and voicemails. Remember to record any troubleshooting steps you take and notes from your communication with T-Mobile support for future reference.

Here's hoping you get this issue resolved quickly and your business remains successful!
