how to switch my current phone number to a new Tmobile iphone I just bought
My current phone with tmobile is an iphone 6s and it is broken, it smashed into pieces… so I bought a Refurbished Tmobile iphone 8 plus and dont know how to switch all of the info in my old phone into my new phone… I also want to keep my number, but dont know how to switch it to my new phone. I did put the SIM card from my old iphone into my new iphone, but that didnt do anything. please help
To move your phone number, just remove the old SIM and insert it in the new phone. If you don’t still have the old SIM, you’ll need a new T-Mobile SIM inserted in the new phone. Depending on if your account is prepaid or postpaid, you either call 611 (should work with a new SIM) or call Customer Service from another phone or go online to your account settings and perform a “SIM Swap”.
Your address book, files, etc will have to be restored from backup either on iTunes or the iCloud, wherever you backed the phone up.
