ios version vs 5g gateway

I just joined t mobile and am trying to get home WiFi up on the white 5g gateway.  I have an iPhone 13 currently, with iOS 17.4.1.  Nothing I , or the t mobile agent, can do will successfully bring the gateway on line.  Is the iOS 17.4.1 too new for the t mobile home internet app version 2.13 and causing an incompatibility?
