Physical sim to eSIM
I just purchased an unlocked iPhone 15 Pro through apple’s website this morning. I currently have an iPhone XR with a physical t-mobile SIM inserted in it. Will I be able to transfer my phone number to the new phone which only uses eSIM? Can I convert my physical SIM to an eSIM in advance, before the new phone arrives? What is the easiest way to complete this process?

You gave Apple your number when you ordered the phone. It will come with a eSIM associated for your number pre loaded. All you need to do is activate the phone and everything is automatic. You can then toss your old SIM card.
EDIT: I assumed you ordered taking advantage of the TMO promos. If you just ordered a unlocked device and paid full price, then you will need to contact TMO once you have it to set up the eSIM.they havent updated the list to the 15 yet but there should be an answer in here
