Receiving International Texts
In the last couple of months, I’ve noticed I no longer receive texts from international entities. This happens now, even where it’s worked before. I have access to a website in Ireland where they always send me a confirmation text before I can log in. This has stopped working and It’s worked for five years up to now. I was recently in India and couldn’t sign up for an app because I didn’t get the confirmation texts.
What’s changed?
Are you a prepaid or postpaid customer? A lot of companies have made changes to prevent 2FA texts fr being sent internationally for security and fraud prevention. Prepaid numbers don't usually meet the restrictions for 2FA for a lot of verification services and tightening restrictions on 2FA through prepaid services because there is no way to verify who is using the number.
