127 or 128 mean in my incoming text log
Does anyone know where text messages are coming from when it is displayed in the incoming text log as 127 or 128? I seem to be getting many of these codes but I don’t recall receiving the texts…. But I see it in my text message log.
→ 128 texts show up a) when you receive a voicemail notification and b) when you call your voicemail.
Text 2300 is a little more general and will show up when:
- You receive a picture / screenshot / GIF
- You send a picture / screenshot / GIF to another T-Mobile user or
- You were part of a group message and photos / screenshots / GIFs were shared or somebody reacted to a message or photo (for example - “Liked a comment or photo”).
This started happening around July as my guess is there was a system update. Hope this helps!

2300 is a group text message, 128 is either voicemail or blocked number. However 127, I was told by T-Mobile was a code meaning a text is coming from an IPhone that has a Apple watch attached to it. It was on my wife's line close to 200 times in a billing cycle, so I decided to check it out and it's there everyday around the same times like clock work. The only thing is I don't see outgoing texts to that 127 code also i asked them to block the number they said they did but it still shows up. Also If you erase text messages they don't show up on your text log in the billing cycle. Last things learned is that the texts are 3 hours later than posted on the log but the phone call time is accurate. This i just what I learned through checking things out.

I finally actually figured this out. This has to do with visual voicemail. Any usage or access to it pops up as a 127 message on your bill. I even tried to change my passcode and it came up as that 127 code.

No it’s a person that you have blocked in never allowed numbers texting. I know that for a fact because I took my husband’s phone and I matched times up. That scam shield never allowed numbers is a scam. 127 comes up everytime the number texts. But you don’t see out going texts to the never allowed number.

I asked customer service tonight and they informed me that it was like Bank codes and codes they sent you from T-Mobile but they never showed up on my line and I get codes all the time but they show up on my husband's

I feel like this might be messages coming from Instagram. I don’t have one but do any of your accounts have an instagram and are getting messages from it?

Im pretty positive the 128 shows when my boyfriend uses his TEXT NOW app. The outgoing texts from the app don’t show only when the person he texts replies it says “ incoming 128”. Either way it’s suspicious because I never have them on my line!

Well, All, i tried a hunch today. I send an e-mail to his phone as a message. And low and behold, it showed up as from 127. So 127 is an incoming message from an e-mail.

All I have found so far is it may be a blocked number trying to call. My Daughters and my phone have had it a few times. But my Husbands is getting it daily. It is definitely bothering me. I worry his phone has been hacked.

Read my reply up above. It’s definitely a red flag.
