After 20 years with T-Mobile, Starlink may drive me away
I've had up to 7 lines with T-Mobile and had no plans to look for a different carrier. When T-Mobile announced a deal with Starlink, I suddenly felt a need to look into switching carriers. I cannot feel good about doing business with any company that promotes and pays for services from Musk's companies. The man is awful on so many levels and is now involved in the decimation of our government institutions and services, I wish for all of his businesses to fail so that he can no longer wield the power of his wealth.
If there were some assurance that T-Mobile would walk away from Starlink, I'd really prefer to remain a customer.

Why are you upset with a man that is trying to make Gov more efficient and root out systemic fraud?

This is not the place to bring up political opinions. Go over to the mainstream media news network platforms to post such topics. This community is for Q & A related to T-Mobile network, products and services. These posts are really getting ridiculous.
In regards to Starlink, it is your option whether or not you want to sign up for the beta. T-Mobile isn't forcing you to sign up for Starlink and it will later be implemented as an optional add-on for $0 on the Go5G Next plan and $15 a month on all other plans. I myself think satellite networks operating where traditional cell towers can't reach will be a wonderful service to have, especially for in case of emergencies, regardless of which company owns and operates the satellite networks.

You, as a consumer , have to sign up to use StarLink. with the exception of one plan, you won't get Starlink. Sadly, almost every conpany has someone they deal with, including At&t and Verizon that you will dislike. ie. At&t is cozy with many federal agencies, and allow your data to be consumed without your knowledge.
