Can I Opt Out of the new Starlink Program?
I love T-Mobile, been a customer for about a decade but I do not want my money going towards Starlink. Is there any way to opt out of it?

T-mobile is the only mobile phone provider who uses starlink....I've been with them forever, but I'm out. Elon is trying to take over the internet and has all the regulatory agencies under his boots.

Stop being a weirdo. Dude is helping audit the government to cut spending and reduce our enormous deficit, but you're hating.

Who gave Elon Musk authority to audit anything? Did you vote for him? Did your Congressional representatives vet him and give him a Security Clearance to download your personal information? You might want to know all of your personal information is now at risk of being exposed to Russia, China and the DarkWeb. Your bank account data and Credit Card Numbers are stored on IRS and Social Security computers. Do you really trust Musk that much?

Rogers in Canada uses Starlink as well

There is a large movement including many online influencers to cancel T-Mobile contracts due to T-Mobile's support for Starlink. I encourage everyone to consider cell phone plans that don't support the man who is destroying American government so he can pay less taxes. Human beings are dying because of Musk and T-Mobile is now complicit in those deaths.

In addition to now donating Starlink to the WH, they are in negotiations to take over FAA. Conflict of interest??? Where is DOGE? DOGE needs to address the fraud and waste being perpetrated for the benefit of STARLINK! There is no oversight, all moves are strategic for the benefit of ......
This former Sprint and now T-Mobile customer is shopping for a new cell carrier.

Yes super conflict of interest seen as Elon Musk with owns Starlink and runs Doge. Elon Musk brings in 8 Million dollars a DAY in government contracts. That is so much tax payer money.

I feel the same way. Generally I am ok with T-Mobile, but I don't think supporting Elon Musk is a good publicity move. I started looking for other carriers as I don't want to support Elon Musk with my money. I hope that T-Mobile reconsiders this partnership.

Look at what's happening to Tesla. T-Mobile needs to rethink their how their association with Elon Musk can impact them as Musk continues wrecking our Federal Government. If you sleep with wild dogs you will get fleas.

I don't know if T-Mobile can back out. AT&T and Verizon have already announced their plans to bring satellite capability to their customers. From what I understand T-Mobile started working on this deal a couple of years ago, long before Elon switched from an EV guru to the political stuff he's been up to the past few of months. For T-Mobile to just drop their partnership with Starlink and start from zero would be saying to their customers that if they want satellite capability, go to AT&T or Verizon.
I'm not telling you what to do, do what you want. But I do worry that T-Mobile could be either done for or done for.

democracy or T-mobile?
Not a hard choice
The carriers should pool their resources to provide the equivalent service even if takes a while.

I got a text saying I’m in starlink beta. I did not opt in. I need to get out of this asap i don’t want to support musk.

I want to have NOTHING to do with ANY Musk contracts and MOST people feel the same - No Musk support. (look at his Tesla stock) I hope T-Mobile changes their mind or I am LEAVING!!

I held out updating my iPhone because I heard that Starlink was going to be forced upon us.
Then I heard there was a way to opt out by just toggling it off, but I can't find it on the newest iOS 18.3.I am against ANYTHING related to Elon Musk. I don't want Starlink associated with my phone in ANY WAY.
Please give us a simple way to opt out, and please reconsider incorporating anything related to Elon.
I have been happy with T-Mobile for over a decade, but you are pushing me to consider going somewhere else if you choose to align with that oligarch. - formercanuckFiber Fanatic
If you want to ensure no Starlink from TMobile connects to your device... with most Android devices, you can disable LTE Band 25.
- kblack721Newbie Caller
Starlink is just Beta testing on T-mobile, it is something you would sign up for.

Do not support any Musk products or services. He’s a criminal. We are leaving TMobile if they continue to support Starlink partnership.

100% agree! Since they announced, I have been so turned off by T-Mobile. I brought them so many customers and now I am completely disgusted. Once Boost mobile offers unthrottled unlimited data plans, I am leaving T-Mobile ..all 12 lines.

I do NOT want to be part of Starlink. Please tell me how to opt out or I’m leaving T Mobile.
- formercanuckFiber Fanatic
To be honest... you have to opt-in and pay for it.
- fhowlNewbie Caller
But we'd still be with a provider who deals with Musk. No thank you.
