data not working (ive tried basically everything)
So first off i’ve been with t-mobile for years and this has never happened. I have unlimited data and all of a sudden when i updated from my iphone 8 to my iphone 11 my data just stopped working i’ve tried turning airplane mode on and off, making sure my data is actually turned on, restarting my phone, checking for updates and frankly my last hope is to do a factory reset. my phone works fine on wifi but off of wifi i can’t use any apps that require data besides msgs,calls,and some websites on safari for some reason. PLEASE HELP!!!
so what worked? i still do not have data as of yesterday it was working just fine in europe it is not the carrier here my other line has it just fine its my phone and i have tried everything
You may find that T-Mobile will complain to you about having an old SIM, and to get an R15 sim.
When you put the sim in the old phone do you have data? Is this a Tmobile branded iPhone? If not you may need to update the apn settings to Tmobile's.
yup that was the first thing i did when i received my new phone
