Text messages via e-mail now arriving as coming from short code 6245

Within the past 48 hours, text messages coming from e-mail addresses, began to display in the messaging apps (stock Samsung Messages as well as Google's Messages) as coming from short code 6245 (i.e. 'MAIL'). Looking at the details on the messages, shows the same short code and does not indicate the e-mail address the message came from. If multiple messages arrive, they are all grouped in with 6245.

Is this a permanent change, or perhaps is there a bug or issue with the SMS/MMS portion of the network at this time?
