As already mentioned, an iPhone can not be temporarily SIM/eSIM unlocked. To qualify for a SIM unlock from T-Mobile, your device(s) and account must meet all of the SIM Unlock Policy requirements.

Once eligible, it can take up to and sometimes longer than 3 weeks for that SIM unlock to process once T-Mobile makes the SIM unlock request to Apple.
