T-Mobile Internet - $200 Pre-Paid Mastercard - STILL WAITING
I switched to T-Mobile Internet over 3 months ago. The $200 Pre-paid Mastercard within 10 weeks was an incentive that led to me making this choice. It has been 12 weeks and I have not heard a thing. Has anyone had a similar experience? I am preparing to switch back to my previous provider if this is how they treat customers.

I've had so many issues. Once my phone is completely paid off, I'm going to switch companies. This is ridiculous.

4 months of waiting. I finally called in with my tracking #. 3 department transfers and no one has a clue. The rebate department is asking me what promo I'm referring to when I tell them it's for the $200 home internet rebate. They don't see it and seem confused. Elevated the call transfer to the care dept and they have no clue. They then said that I needed the home interenet and a voice line for the $200. That's bs and isn't what was advertised at signup. Total incompetence from this company. I'm definitely cancelling. I wonder if this company makes the process so difficult to avoid honoring their end of this contract.

So, apparently the card can only be used to pay for T-Mobile stuff. I had to go back into the store to get my card number, then I used it to pay my existing bill. That was not at all clear to me when I signed up for the promotion. The only good part of this is that the rep at the store knew all about this and walked me through the ridiculously complicated process of obtaining the card #. Soooo, I did eventually get the $200 but, really, it was just a bothersome way to claim a discount in T-Mobile services. I don’t think they are incompetent - they designed this promotion this was on purpose - but I do wonder about their honesty.

I had this same issue it took me a little over 2 months to get everything situated and it was a HUGE hassle. I planned on using the card to pay my bill when I first got it because hey it just made sense. But what they fail to tell you when you sign up for the promotion is that basically they wait for you to make 1-2 payments on your account before they give you the prepaid card, then to top it all off I didn't even receive the actual card. I was so fed up with them because I had accidentally messed up the payment arrangement thing for I believe it was my second bill because the stupid app wasn't working and I had to call in to have it done (which anytime you call in to get help with anything they charge you $10-$20 so be aware of that) anyways due to the payment arrangement being messed up (the girl put it on the wrong day that I had told her) my account got suspended and apparently same day they suspended it they finally processed my promotion submission and denied it due to this. So of course I flipped out on them because nowhere during the whole process of signing up for the internet and getting that promotion did they say that if you would have to make x amount of payments on your account before we give you the virtual card. And now mind you I had been calling them every 2-3 days trying to find out why I hadn't gotten the virtual card yet and explaining to them that I wanted to use that to pay my bill. The person had the nerve to basically tell me it was my fault for letting my service get turned off when I should have already gotten the prepaid card and then it wouldn't have been shut off because I was planning on using some of that to pay my bill. Finally after arguing with the guy for about 30 minutes he told me that either I could pay $77 right then and also a $20 fee for him setting up the payment of $77 over the phone and then after that I could wait 3 more weeks to receive the gift card via email (sense it's virtual) OR I could let them put a $200 credit on my account and it would restore my line and whatever was left would just be a credit on my account and go towards the next bill. So I agreed to let them just go ahead and put the credit on to my account and restore my line. Well it restored my line and everything. But the next bill came and instead of me having a credit like I was suppose to (because the bill was only $77 and the credit was suppose to be a total of $200 minus that $77) my bill was HIGHER and ever sense then has been like that every single month has never been the price that it was suppose to be whenever I signed up for the account. So basically what I'm saying is they will try to do whatever they can to not follow threw on their end of the deal of giving you the prepaid card. You have to hassle and hassle and hassle with them. And you need to make sure it's the promotion people you talk to because at first I was talking to just regular customer service I guess (even though they tried a couple of times to act like they were promotions when in fact they werent) and they weren't trying to help me or do anything at all basically told me because I let the account get suspended that I was just SOL and lost out on my promotion. The only person that tried to make it right was the 3rd promotion supervisor I spoke with and explained everything to and that was the solution he could give me. So yeah like I said basically they will try to get out of giving you the card

I'm dealing with the same situation. I called about this and they can't figure out how to find my $200 gift card. They said wait 72 hrs, I haven't heard anything. This is the only reason I joined because of the promotion. Such a scam!

They pissed me off so bad by first letting sit for I think 70 days with no change and then when my service got disconnected for less than a day. When THAT happened THEN they checked it and denied the rebate I called them and told them I wasn't taking that crap. The service was disconnected because I I didn't realize a payment arrangement would cause them to drop auto pay and they did. I called every day for 9 days and asked about it and reminded them there were places to file complaints for deceptive business practices. They finally gave it to me but now it won't work anywhere and is NOT supposed to be the stupid only spend it at T-Mobile card either.
They just mean to make everything as hard as they can on folks.

I have been in tears with this company for 8 months now. Never got my AAA and my $200 card, two days ago I was told my rebate was void because I activated the box either over the internet or phone. I asked how else could it be activated....no answer. Asked for a supervisor and was told numerous times they were busy. Told the guy I had already been on the phone with them over and a half and that I would wait. Finally he tells me that the gentleman from the store that did my activation would be calling me. I doubted him but he reassured me he would be calling. Still no call. I am actually on my way into the store to cancel my plan. I can't log into my account or anything from my phone. Tmobile gave me a monthly price that was a lie from the start, is no where close to my quote. Then their customer service lying to me put me over the top. The ASS service is what led me to switch and they can't even get that right but they sure can pull the money out of my account with no difficulties. Amazing!!! I'm done and will be co tasting the BBB. Don't lie to me!! I rather you think me ignorant than straight up lie!

I signed up September 25 2024 and entered for my $200 visa card September 27 2024 and I have not received any form of communication or answers as to why I have not received it or heard anything about receiving it yet. This is frustrating because you put your trust in a company that offers you a deal for signing up for their service and then they ruin that trust by not honoring their offer. I switched because my last provider was dishonest and over charging me every month and I was putting my trust in T-Mobile believing that they would not be dishonest or betray my trust and it looks like they are just as dishonest as my last provider. Is there such thing as an honest Internet provider these days? I'm beginning to think not. Very disappointing.
