Assurant Return Scam
After reading many alarming Assurant issues posted, I decided to mail my 3-month-old new Galaxy Z Flip 4 that had an eighty percent bleed on the screen via UPS (tracking, signature, ins, about $75 out of pocket). You see where this is going, right? $611.99 was added to my monthly invoice after two months from mailing the POS phone to Assurant. Of course, I was told it had been received and scanned in more than once leading up to this - I even had the date confirmed! Bottom Line, Do Not purchase your phone from T-mobile, instead get it from the manufacturer. A T-mobile supervisor ultimately said the mechanical failure (bleed at the crease) was not in his book and Assurant must consider it as a damage claim. I paid $1k cash for this phone at a nearby T-Mobile store and ended up with a refurbished, locked rplcmt after paying a $150 deductible. Oh, let’s not forget the $611.99 placed on my bill two months after sending in my useless brand new phone that I couldn’t even wipe. Can I feel the love for being a loyal ISP customer for 24 YEARS? Wow! Times, they are a changing… And I’m still waiting to clear this up - two billing cycles to go? I doubt everything I hear from both T-Mobile and especially Assurant anymore. Que_Sera_Sera_No_More
