Buying unlocked phones for use on tmobile network
I want to buy a new phone, I was going to purchase one from tmobile, but I will not purchase anything from tmobile due to them lying to me and their bait and switch policy
Where is the best place to buy an unlocked phone for use on tmobile network.
I also just convinced another person, who was going to purchase their new phone from tmobile to purchase it else where.
What type of phone?
If it's an iPhone buy the unlocked version from Apple, don't buy it anywhere else.
Android I suggest buying the unlocked version from the manufacturer as well.
The Pixel line actually unlocks after 40 days of use on the Tmobile network even if you still owe money on it.
For a used phone try Swappa.
Bait and Switch? No, RUNAWAY! It's willful deceit- and not simple negligence. From the original point of sale over the phone- a simple upgrade from an A13 to an A35- the lies frm being unlocked, same plan, same price, etc...all just begat a fiasco. The bills more than doubled in price- explained as a keystroke error by the last guy. SMH...supervisor on the phone, et. al. tech on the phone...same results...the excuses just morph right along on each (hour-long) calls. 30+ years of being a T-Mobile customer...even with Papa T-Mobile in Germany (house and cell). As soon as I clear the 40 day, and another day (another excuse given) to be unlocked- I'm taking the phone, and finding another company who can transfer the #. T-Mobile...not the least of all evils.
and make sure its TMO VoLTE capable. if not they wont allow it onto their network anymore since they’ll be shutting down 3G here before to long. if the phone cant use the same VoLTE TMO uses then it wont be able to make calls.
