Changing physical address on shared account
Hello, my tmobile account has been included with my mother’s family plan. I have a different physical address and attempting to add my mailing address to the account so I can receive paper mail at the address where I am residing. I am attempting to do this without changing the billing address which is my mother’s address and without disrupting her account. I need to receive mail in my name for multiple reasons. Thank you for any tips or feedback!!
Hi @Djolablood71 Sharing the T-Mobile account with family is a great way to save money! For T-Mobile accounts, you can only have one billing/mailing address. If you were to change the address to yours, then it would mean that your mom would stop getting the bill to her. Even if you changed the address, the bill would still have your mother’s name on it. The only way to change the name on the account is to do a change of responsibility which would mean creating an account under your name and moving your lines and devices to that. It can be pretty disruptive, so it is not something we recommend unless it is really needed.
