Prepaid to Postpaid bait and switch
I was just in the TMobile Store to port my prepaid account with a LARGE balance (145) to postpaid. I asked the rep what would happen to my balance, and he told me that HE could do nothing about it, BUT, that after porting, I could call 611 and get some kind of credit. So I did that.
Then I call customer service, and they basically laugh at me, saying I should have used that balance first. So sorry - all that money is gone.
Ok fine - I get it; enjoy your gift. What I do not appreciate, and looks very poorly on T-Mobile in general, is the misrepresentation.

Unfortunately in Tmobile's terms and conditions for prepaid it states there is no refund if you cancel the account.
Try contacting TMobile support using messenger on one of their social media accounts like Facebook or Twitter. They're a higher tier of support and maybe able to help since you switched to post paid .
