T-Mobile stopped offering 5G Internet so I had to cancel with no refund and now being sent to collections
So a few months ago I had to cancel T-Mobile Internet in my home as it had stopped working. I asked them to troubleshoot but the couldn’t figure it out, this lasted a week (I work from home so I need my internet). Come to find out, they stopped 5G Internet for my location and never told me. I had to go at least 2 weeks with choppy and bad internet.
I returned my equipment and they still charged me for the service which was non-excistant. They told me I could call and ask for a credit, which I did, but I could never get anyone to speak to me and give me such credit. They then proceeded to take payments from my card without authorization and those two payments were returned to me. T-Mobile then charged me for the return payments. Now they have sent me to collections for $167.00.
This is total bull, can’t speak to anyone, no one told me they were discontinuing services in my area and now they are trashing my credit by sending me to collections for $167!

contact the BBB and or the FTC..if this did in fact happen then they downgraded your area which was not of your fault. i would think that would allow you to get out of the contact and allow you to move to another vendor without to many issues.

Understandable, but they should have at least given me a warning and not have me find out about for myself and then send me to collections, won’t even speak to me now as they say they have already handed it over and can’t do anything about it. This is bull as I know they can withdraw it from collections and credit me what they said they would.

interesting. wonder if they lost usage of the towers there? might have been old Sprint towers that were still slated to come down? most carriers dont own their own towers..theyre usually on a tower with another carrier.

Thank you for the info. I will check out FB and Twitter. I live in a very rural area and they did get rid of 5G for my area and said I can keep checking back to see if they offer it again.

upgrading the 5G towers perhaps..but yanking 5G all together just aint it..no carrier is going to downgrade their network. if you have/had 5G on your phone but not home net then they were working on the home nets 5G side and not the mobile device 5G side.
contact TMO through either Facebook or Twitter..you start with tier 2 support..send them a DM..do not post on their main page.
