using phone on european cruise

completely avoid using anything when near the cruise line itself.. if/when you land same scenario..as far from the ship as possible before turning on any data or attempting to use the phone..you will need international roaming for it to work but if you are close enough to the ship you’ll be connecting to their set up and they charge a crazy amount for using their system..it is not part of international roaming.
