Spam Shield

I have questions about this.  Does it also block texts?  I get many of these.

Will it interfere with doctor offices when they leave an automated message?  Or does this know this is not a spam call?  A friend told me that these kind of blockers also block the doctor and hospital calls and I sure do not want that to happen.

What message do the spamers hear when they are blocked?
