an UMX phone can be used in Cuba
I recieved a cell, UMX 693CL,from a cousin, it's registered under your company, +1 2016795333, IMEI: 990015177894540. I want to use this phone in Cuba, is that possible? Thanking you in advance!
The Unimax 693CL is most frequently associated with Assurance Wireless (A Lifeline Assistance provider). It is hard to find detailed specifications for this phone but it almost certainly has at least quad-band GSM 2G. This means that it would be technically compatible with the Cuban network. My concern is that it is SIM locked to Assurance or T-Mobile and that there will be almost no practical way to get it unlocked.
