i cant find the ssid

I'm trying to connect a new Playstation 4 to my home internet but it won't even attempt to scan for wifi networks but wnats me to fill everything in. I can't find the ssid number and I'm not sure of all the other thibgs it's asking for. How can I set it up more easily

    SSID stands for Service Set IDentifier and is your network’s name.  In short, it’s the NAME that you gave your WiFi network.  Although it can be a number it need not be.

    Your PS4 should give you a list of available names to choose from when configuring your device’s network.  Just pick the right one.
