can i pay off my phone due and cancel my contract and switch to a new plan but a cheaper one.
Depends. You can pay off you phone and could lose whatever credits you have if you plan needs to be a specific plan. If you device doesn’t need to be a specific plan you can just switch the plan and keep the device payment. There is no specific contract for any plans.
