Yeah that was a fix for me for an older security camera I have. I was almost %100 sure it was the wpa3 screwing ya. I mean even the woman at Arcadia didn't know... Most those people are dumber than a box of rocks when it comes to technology. They read a script off a PC mostly ..how many months did you waste before you tried his recommendation? Just curious. You'll prolly have better luck getting answers to questions here then a call center operator... Here is real life experiences that gives us better knowledge than a bimbo at a cubicle somewhere.

I finally got my Genie Alladin to work with my Tmobile wireless network.  I wasnt able to connect it for the last 13 months but it’s working now.  It took me a white today to get it working but everything’s working now.  I just followed the directions above from bocaboy2591

How did you  “entered that info into the Aladdin Connect app”  I have the 2.4 Ghz as my phone wi-fi but it still won’t connect.  is there something different I need to do?

When I moved to Tmobile Internet Gateway about a year ago my Genie Alladin Connect broke - could never get it working even on 2.4 Ghz. I never did uninstall the app. I just started getting an odd notification on my phone from Alladin “null”. I opened the app and it said please wait while we transfer your setting to our updated..app, platform, I forget exatly what it said. This took seconds and just like that all is well. I did not even have to jump through any setup hoops at the GD opener.

Yes! this worked for me. I also have the Arcadia KVD 21 and the Genie Garage Door opener. I tried and tried to get it connected. Then I read this post and remembered that I have a printer with the same problem. I already had a (hidden) 2.4 GHz network set up for the printer, so I just entered that info into the Aladdin Connect app, not really expecting it to work. But after a minute or so, all lights turned green and it’s working fine at the moment. I left the “printer” network hidden and it works alright with the hidden network.

still not able to connect this Aladdin garage door to the internet through my T-Mobile router.  I was hoping that the new Aladdin app would be able to pass a configuration to the garage door (alt port for example) that would allow it to get around the limitations of the T-Mobile router.  It did not.  I wish T-Mobile would just improve their interface 

I can confirm that this is a still an issue. It check this every time I visit my moms house 

Agree that this is a T-Mobile router issue but it seems that Aladdin connect would be motivated to create some kind of work around (use another port). 
 

I have created a sub network with another router to allow the garage door to connect.  
 

I might try installing a sonoff smart switch 

Ever since I went from xfinity to T mobile internet I have not been able to connect my Genie garage door opener .  I finally connected another older router with a new network and finally got it to work but with absolutely no security protocols. as soon as I add a password I cannot connect to the WIFI.  I didn't want my whole neighborhood using my internet so I’m back to square one.. Frustrating !!!

Ha, if this is a problem with a blocked port, this is another reason for us users to have more control over the gateway. 

They have a firewall that blocks ports, to make it more secure.  And your garage door opener uses one of the blocked ports.  If they let us unblock ports that we wanted to, fixing the problem would be easy.

I bought a router (from Goodwill) and works perfectly. Creating another network WILL work. Just buy a router.
