literally JUST got this device today, can't use discord/reddit/twitch at all??
so i literally just got this device and hooked it up and i got it connected to my TV, xbox and laptop.. that's all.. and i tried to open discord, but it is forever retrying to update.... i try to con...
I just got the device yesterday. Everything works except the VOIP phone. Apparently, they are blocking external port range 5060. This might be the same issue with discord as it has a voice component. I've spent the last hour on the phone with tmobile asking them to create a new port rule to my router as you cannot access advance settings of their routers, only what limited access they give you in the tmobile life app. They have had to file an issue with their IT department, and I am told I should hear something back within 24 hours. You may want to reach out to their IT department to see if you can get help as well.
yeah i'm having the same thing happen after my call, i called them after submitting these questions in places cause i wanted to see if anyone else would have any ideas. most threads i saw were talking about how they've had their device for a few months or so and it suddenly stopped working, but for me it works on every device of mine except my laptop. like you, i'm getting the issue filed to the IT department and will be getting a callback within 24 hours.. cause for me i can't connect to twitch, discord, toyhou.se, reddit- several different sites on only my laptop, but i can access all those same sites on my cellphone (both the apps and the websites on the browser) connected to the same wifi.... so it's like?? i also tried using several different browsers, all to no avail.. i hope that your issue gets resolved!! glad i'm not the only one experiencing strange things upon receiving this gateway thingy.
