Incoming and outgoing calls while overseas
Hello. I am traveling to Europe next week and don't want to notify my clients that I am outside of my office in US. I activated roaming and international plan at T-Mobile upon being misinformed that the caller/receiver will not be able to tell that its a call outside of US, I also purchased a T-Mobile phone. I reached out to T-Mobile again and was told that "There will be notification from the other party since they will receive a note that they are calling outside of their country or long distance calling" and this was confirmed by the Supervisor. Do you know of any ways of keeping my phone number but being able to use it in other countries as if I would be located in US?
Callers will not be notified that you are outside the US but may infer the fact from the ringtone.

It is very confusing, I talked to 4 different reps and the information I received was completely different with each one of them. I need to be assured that the caller will not be notified since I might lose a few client that would call me while I’m overseas.
I will try to call T-Mobile again and ask for a supervisor to confirm, if they will give me a different information I will just transfer my numbers to Google Voice which will give me an assurance.
Just to add, I still have the old T-Mobile ringback service which plays a music for a caller. Would this change if I'm outside of US?
Personally, I have never heard anything about the calling party getting a notification that you are outside of the US when calling. If they call your US number, it should connect as long as you have service and a plan that supports that service where ever you are.
If your device supports WiFi Calling. Calls over WiFi are treated as if the device is located in the US. The best way to guarantee your device is using WiFi Calling is to put it in airplane mode, turn on WiFi, and connect to a WiFi network. You should see an icon on your device confirming you are using WiFi Calling.
