It's not the fault of T-Mobile. You'd get that same list with any router. The two numbers you should see are the IP address of the device and the Media Access Control (MAC) number.
I'm on an iPhone and use an app called iNet Network Scanner. It will scan your network and then show you each device you have, it's IP number and MAC. You can then edit the information to the specific device related to that info. As an example, your router would show up as 192.168.12.1. Change that to T-Mobile Gateway and the visual to a global icon. If an device advertises correctly, you'll see its name in the scan results.
Anyway, I find iNet Network Scanner invaluable when trying to sort who-is-who on my network. Since the T-Mobile gateway doesn't really let you do anything under the “Devices” tab, this might be the next best answer for you.
