Nintendo Switch no longer plays online for ONLY Mario Kart 8
For the last few months, I haven't had an issue playing Mario Kart 8 online for the Nintendo Switch. But then, as of maybe a week or so ago my Switch will no longer connect online for Mario Kart 8. It keeps giving me an error code saying something about NAT traversal. Although, I'm able to play the emulators (NES, SNES, N64, etc.) online with others and that seems very odd. Could it be the Mario Kart 8 game app? Could it be the router? I'm also able to play online through my gaming PC, PS4 and XBox One with no issues. What could be the problem and possible solution here? Please help!!

I am experienccing the same, except I gave only tried yesterday. T-Mobile support could not work me through it. Tried WPA2 and static IP. Nothing

Are you using a router with your T-Mobile Gateway? If so. That could be causing double NAT, which might impact you playing multiplayer on your Switch. Setting the router to Access Point Mode or manually disabling the routing functions including NAT on your router connected to the T-Mobile Gateway should fix it.

No, I'm only using the Gateway. On my Switch; when I run an internet test, the NAT reads as a B. I don't know how to go about setting the router to Access Point Mode or manually disabling anything to the router. The T-MOBILE apps don't seem to have that option anyway, unless I'm overlooking that option.
