Plan/phone upgrade from OnePlan Military to Go5G+ Military

Considering upgrading our family plan from OnePlan to Go5G+, but want to find out more details about the upgrade every 2 years offer. Are we eligible to upgrade as soon as we change our plan? Are there only certain phones we can upgrade to for free?
